An abstract artist, Emily specialises in elegant expressive paintings.
Shortlisted for the Visual Artists' Association Professional Artist Award 2023, her work is influenced by Modernism, including Abstract Expressionists such as Lee Krasner and Helen Frankenthaler, as well as artists that reference minimalism such as Eva Hesse and Barbara Hepworth. Inspired by the natural world and concepts of connectedness and transience, Emily makes one-off original artwork in response to a particular place / experience / idea.
