Preparation stacking up

I’m enjoying reviewing my work and deciding on what to hang for my Cambridge Open Studios weekend in just over a month. I’m really looking forward to when I can finally start hanging the exhibition and arranging rooms with plenty of extra work for visitors to rifle through… In the meantime it’s tricky to find space to make new work with pieces stacking up while I’m deciding whether and how best to show them.

Cambridge Open Studios

I’m working hard in the background preparing to take part in Cambridge Open Studios for the first time.

As a new COS member I’ve already met fantastically supportive, friendly, and talented local artists who I would never have encountered otherwise. I’m both anxious and excited about opening my own doors to the public and looking forward to a July full of conversation and creativity, both by receiving visitors and getting out to see as many other local artists as possible.

As well as my open studios dates (week 3, the 21st and 22nd of July) I’ll be found promoting COS and showing work at preliminary events: the Cambridge Town and Country Show (9-10 June), and outside Cambridge’s Guildhall (16th and 23rd of June).

You can find out more about all the fantastic local artists taking part in COS this July here.
