Awash
I was delighted to have a recent painting selected for the Society of East Anglian Watercolourists’ Awash exhibition, which can be seen from the 3rd till the 27th of February at Wells Malting’s Handa Gallery, Norfolk. I’m planning to take my sketch book along for the trip to the seaside while dropping the work off.
My painting, Swallow Flight, is from a new series of work that I’m developing most of which is far from ready to show yet. This work really does hold its own though, and is looking all the more stunning now that it’s framed and ready for the exhibition. Some pieces of work are hard to let go of as you feel you still have something to learn from them – this is definitely one of those. I’ll miss having it in the studio!

Flora Flora
The natural world inspires my abstract work, as well as sketches from direct observation, though I don’t usually offer these for sale. My painting ‘summer flowers’ from 2021 will be making a rare public appearance at Fronteer Gallery (Exchange Street, Sheffield) from the 6th to the 30th of April.
